UPDATE,
July 2002:

On a boat in Kerala,
India.
|
It's been a very busy 8 months starting with a wonderful trip
to Egypt and Jordan in November and then to Kerala, India
for Christmas and New Years. Kerala has many lagoons, lakes and rivers
and part of the time I spent on a wonderful boat, without a motor or
electricity, being poled through these backwaters.
Back in L.A., I was invited to speak at a Hollywood Women's Press
Club luncheon and signed books afterwards.

After the AFM in February I went back up to Alaska for the Iditarod.
Had a splendid ride with musher, Lance Mackey and then flew to one of
the check points on the race. Ended up in Nome where for 10 days I worked
the night shift at the Iditarod Headquarters. Some nights I had the
pleasure of spending some time with Martin Buser, who won the race,
Martin had instructed me to wake him up anytime day or night so he could
personally greet each musher as they arrived at the finish line.
In May I returned to Cannes for the Film Festival for RKO and
worked out of a wonderful apartment right across the street from the
Palais des Festivals. I had a good view of all the stars going
up and down the famous steps from the balcony.
I went back to Will Geer's Theatre in Topanga Canyon to check
on the tile some friends and I had ordered to commemorate where Ramblin
Jack and Derroll Adams first met and sang together.
In a few days I'm off to Brazil and an Amazon cruise.
Stay tuned............
